About

A shop makes money in one condition: the spindle is turning.

Everything else — the quote, the demo, the install, the training, the call at six in the morning — either protects that condition or gets in the way of it. Buying the machine takes a few weeks. The machine is on your floor for the next fifteen years. Most of this industry is organized around the few weeks.

Why we built it

We built this to fill in what was missing.

Arizona shops are not short of places to buy a machine. What is harder to find is the half of the job that starts after the truck pulls away — a technician who turns up, a part that is already on a shelf, someone who will train your operator on your part, and a phone that gets answered when a spindle stops.

That gap is the reason Ironwood exists. The company is built around the second half of the job, not the first.

What that means in practice

Service

Technicians in the territory, covering the lines we sell and willing to look at what else is on your floor. The first call, not the last resort.

Parts

A stocking program on the lines we represent, and we will chase a part on other makes where one can still be had.

Training

Programming and operator training at your machine and on your part, after the install — not a week in a classroom before anyone has cut anything.

Uptime

Preventative maintenance that is scheduled rather than remembered. Hours a spindle is not cutting is the only number that counts.

Automation

Pallets, robots and workholding specified alongside the machine, so the cell gets designed once instead of assembled in pieces later.

One system

Every lead, quote and service call runs through one connected system, so nothing is lost and no quote gets rebuilt from memory the day before it is due.

Our people

Meet the team.

Elle Talala
Sales & Marketing
Elle runs Ironwood’s content and social channels and calls on shops across the Phoenix metro. If you have seen Ironwood online or at a show, you have probably already met her.
Jeff Nawrot
Business Manager · Southern Arizona
Jeff covers Tucson and Southern Arizona. He knows the machine tool business and spends his week on shop floors, not behind a desk.
Sally Hooper
Office & Finance Manager
Sally keeps the business running behind the scenes: new accounts, invoicing, and the paperwork that comes with every order. Billing questions go straight to her at [email protected].
Paul Swiech
Business Manager · East Valley
Paul covers the East Valley: Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe and Queen Creek. Bring him the part, the tolerance and the cycle time, and he will come back with the machine that fits.

Territory

Arizona is home.

Flagstaff. Phoenix. Tucson. And the shops in between. Founded 2026.
